"Eternal Life Is Possible Through Jesus Christ Only" What are the implications of such a statement? 1 John 5:11, 12.

John clearly states that those who do not have the Son of God do not have life, while those who have Jesus have everlasting life. These are very strong words, full of incredible implications for the entire human race. No wonder the issues of salvation are so important. They are, literally, a question not just of life or death but of eternal life or eternal death. You can't get much more serious than this.

What about the Muslim's or the Jew's? Neither believe in and accept Jesus Christ as The Son of God or have accepted Him as Lord & Savior of their lives. Are they all automatically lost? As you think about your answer, don't forget to take into account God's universal love for all humanity. How can you learn to better trust the Lord on this difficult question?
 
Had the privilege of going to Bible College back in 1982, studied, and graduated with a 4 year diploma at the New York City Latin American Bible Institute, and remember a study concerning this very topic... it is a very important topic as it hangs in the balances the lives's of so many a people of two nations. This is what we dissected as far as the word as spiritual, physical, and meta-physical.

The Muslim's as we know are descendants of Abraham through Hag-gar, when both Sara and Abraham wouldn't believe God for Sara to have child, because of Sara's advanced age, Sara asked Abraham to go into Hag-gar.

Well, we know the story, but God promised that a rich and powerful nation to Hag-gar through Ismael will rise, they have all the oil...LOL. Sara, and Abraham however inherited the spiritual blessing, and the land that flowed with milk and honey, Israel and outer banks. Now, the question of the Jew's as many don't believe or would not accept Jesus as the suffering messiah, well, if you read your bible, and I'm going to let you go treasure hunting for it as for gold and silver as it written in Zackariah, our psalms. and proverbs... When Israel finds themselves being attacked from all side by Magog, and the others armies of the world, except via the mountains as military maneuvers are nearly impossible there.

The Jew's call upon their messiah which comes in the name of the Lord Jehovah, in that moment they see the messiah, they have long excepted Jesus by then, as they are praying for him to save them remembering Zackariah's prophecy, Jesus saves them from the perils to comes from all invaders, and always did, key point... Very interesting as the Jew's are not Baptized, but have the promise of the atonement promised to Abram when he proved by faith that Lord God who is, the I am, that became his God, as Abram was one of the top pagan worshipers of his time, and was ready to sacrifice his only son, by thrusting that knife to take his own son's life, used as a symbol of Jesus, a covenant is formed. promises are made to Abraham, then Abram... There is a plan, and every effort by God is being given to all of this evil dying world to receive Jesus as their savior to receive eternal life through him; john 3:16, it's just that we can't mix the churches rise with the Jew's covenant, the old testament that is strictly for the Jew's and with the new testament where Jesus completes his last will and testament... let me stop as this does get confusing sometimes...

PS Don't think for a minute that the Jews don't know Jesus, as Zackariah, exhibits Jesus in two portraits... The lowly, suffering Messiah, and the Triumphant Messiah which comes in the clouds with his great army, which is the same picture that the Jew's experience when Jesus saves them, but they wanted Jesus to come as the great warrior and triumphant messiah back then, and rejected the lowly one, and God himself says in his word, that because you have rejected my son and his plan for my people Israel, I will now open the blessing to all that believe that my son came in my name, and gain eternal life through faith, being baptized as new creatures into the kingdom of God... awesome, simply awesome plan folks...
 
there will be allot of surprised people when they get there. some will be sure that there in and wont be, some will be shocked they got in. guess no one will really know till they get there? i have allways thought that you have to be saved and believe that jesus is the mesiah.
 
That my Brother is another topic in its self.... because less these days be shorten, no flesh shall otherwise be saved, even the elect will be deceived. I know the passage very well, and a lot of Evangelists' and other persons with multimillion dollar ministries and music companies have not a clue as to properly lead these large congregations, or the businesses God has blessed them with, yet the word is what's saving the masses, not the person bringing the word, as the word can't return to God void. They think and believe that they are in harmony with the Lord's word fishing of men souls, but they are far from it, because the Lord knows what's in our hearts. They sugar coat everything, always preaching prosperity and all healing God.

But, be warned, Yes, God can do anything and heal, but he is God and will have mercy on whom he'll have mercy, but there are very very few that you hear of real healing, because they would be healed before they even know they were ill, that's Divine intervention for you in a form of a miracles. Miracles don't happen just like that, and can you imagine everyone being healed be having faith as small as a mustered seed? I think not, it don't work that way...

If you are sick, especially with a life threatening illness, go see a doctor to see what your options are, and then ask for prayer from your church, which are your brother's and sister's to pray to the Lord, and the Lord's Will, will be done...in guiding the hand of the doctor or specialist whom he has given the knowledge to get you back to where you can live again with a better quality of life, healing the problem you had, and you may still have to take medication or other rotues to keep in good health.

Many will say, didn't I do this in your name , didn't I cast out demons in your name, but the Lord will say, depart from me, you workers of iniquities, I don't know you, prepare for the devil and his angels. There is suicidal eternal death in the blasphemy of the holy spirit, as did Judas commit, and there are those dammed from the foundation of the earth as read in Peter, and there's that evil seed born among men, read about them in the old testament in the first five books of the pentacles... That's why it's important to read the word, read the word, because there seems to be the answers and hope through faith to find eternal life.
 
My whole purpose in wording this post the way I did was so others would react to it just as you have and I am delighted so many have decided to follow Jesus to heaven and eventually heaven on earth. Thanks Philo for your input and studied wisdom. Praise God! Amen?

I believe that Jesus is the only Savior of the world and no one can enter heaven or get to the Father without knowing Him, personally, and loving, obeying and worshipping God in Spirit and in truth! There is only One God and He is Jehovah, Who saves the souls of repentant sinners when we truly believe and receive His Son, Jesus, into our hearts then gain godly wisdom by studying, diligently, the Bible which is His written Holy Word and Jesus is the Living Word, Who gives us life and gives it abudantly while we are mortal and also gives us eternal life to be with Him forever more! You're absolutely right! It is not our place to judge but it 'is' our place to minister to the lost. Every child of God is born to be a disciple.

Seems to me Jesus answered this question quite clearly himself when he said; "I am the way the truth and the light, NO ONE comes to the father but through ME!, ...... end of conversation.

All of mankind is under the curse of Adam and destined for Hell, ................ ONLY trust and faith in Jesus can prevent that.

I think we need to get back to believing exactly what the word of GOD says, not what we want it to say. We need to believe that, ............... profess it, ......... and proclaim and teach it. Forget hurting people's feelings or being politically correct so as not to offend. I don't believe the Bible was written for scholars to dissect and interpret anymore than the 10 commandments were written for the Pharisees to interpret, twist and distort. No, the bible was written for the people and therefore it says what it says without any PhDs necessary to interpret.

The word is the word.
 
gods word says;john 3:16 "for god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son,that whosoever believes in him shall not perish,but have eternal life"

john 3:18 "who so ever does not believe in him stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of god's one and only son"
john 3:36 "whoever belives in the son has enternal life,but whoever rejects the son will not
see life for gods wrath remains on him"
gods word is very clear but someone will always challenge his word and wants to argue ---------------very simple scriptures to beleive in.it doesn't mattter if you are jew,muslim or pagan they are still going to hell:devil: with out JESUS---KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME.:clapping:

I guess you can call the ones that oppose scholars but how much of a scholar can they be if they can't see the truth. True scholars open up the word to us that the English doesn't convey such as the conversation between Jesus and Peter on the shores of the sea of Galilee. The word used in the English bible is love but in the Greek they are using "agape" all encompassing love, Jesus, and "phileo", Peter, brotherly love. As you can see in the Greek Peter's reply was inadequate and again he was denying Christ three times. Thank you Senior Seeker for bringing up this subject.
