What do you do when your way behind on your coin tumbling?

Go out and get more coins of course. This was a 90 minute hunt. Last target was a dime and I filled the hole 4 seconds after my 90 minutes was up. I have to post a pic because of the half dollar. I am only a couple away from a full roll for the year. Maybe I'll try for two rolls.

I sure hope I never get addicted to this stupid hobby.

Chris

Lots of clad for that short period of time...:clapping:

Do I need to explain why I never get behind on tumbling:rofl:

Thanks Joel. I got this site from a stranger and it will probably be a good one for the rest of the summer. I am betting there is some jewelry around too.

I just noticed that half. I have only ever found one. A Ben.

I have found 18 this year. 17 clad Kennedys and 1 Walking Lib which was my all time favorite coin find until I gound that quarter eagle (even if it was in a bezel.) Never a Ben here. Your bro sent me one with my Christmas present and it's in my book. Right next to a loonie. Remember?

you could buy a concrete mixer that would hold a lot of coins just put 30kg of coins 2 shovels full of gravel and some water that would clear that stock pile of coins in no time

I tried that last year. My tumbler ran non stop for 2 weeks with only half of my 2008 finds. I can't tie up my kitchen sink for that long!

About how many coins do you find in a good (or great) year?

I found 7000 coins last year and 3200 so far this year.

No but I keep all the gear there when I'm doing it. Dishpan, strainers, sandscoop, bowls of soaking coins, rags, brushes. Once I start tumbling, I don't use the sink for much else until I'm done because it gets so grubby. If I only have one load to do I can start after the dinner dishes are done and finish up after breakfast the next day. I started about 7 pm Friday night and as I reported I had tumbler trouble. This go, I have 50 bucks in shiny clean rolled coins and 45 more to go. Should be done tomorrow morning or afternoon. I hope.

Wise guy!
