What does everyone else do with there gold finds, if you do sell them whats the best way? should i just save a get as much as poss, or what just wondering, I gave the ruby ring to my girlfriend she loves it

I think lots give them to there families as presents.
I save them and will eventually send them to a place to melt them down for the gold.
Others save them as keepsakes to remind them of there hunts.
Still others put them on E Bay for sale.
I've seen some take them to pawn shops and get ripped off never getting the value there worth.
Unless your desperate for money stay away from pawn shops.

I was keepin alla mine , till last year when gold price got real high, then I sold most of it, kept some of the better stuff that I really liked, now I'm sorry I sold it, shoulda kept it, I miss it:sadwalk:

That's an easy question for me to answer!....I haven't found any gold yet!:garrett:

Although I did get a nugget back once for a short while to take it a local jeweler - then had to pay out of my pocket for his work - then she took it immediately from his hands - then gave me the opportunity later for a few camera shots, under her beaming security set of eyeballs of course. She wore it once. I haven't seen it since. Last year she found some of my hidden vials of gold - haven't seen them since either. All jewelery gets claimed when I get home from detecting.
Sometimes other little trinkets disappear from my finds. Of course the rusty nails, tabs, screw caps etc. are safely returned. I think the corroded zincs are safe too. She inspects the washers as last year when I was tossing some in the trash, something caught her optical sensors. She cleaned it up some in the kitchen sink - turned out it was a nice token. The kind with a hole in the middle. Now washers have to be processed through her optical scanners to cull out the throw backs.
I'm just glad when she cooks that I get to toss chow on my plate myself usually. I don't let it go in fear she might snagged her meat hooks in my pile of chow. The dog is guarding anyways because I share some with her. Dang dog sometimes helps me dig, eat my chow, but don't guard my findings:blink:
But then I get to do it all again because they let me.
