What does this option mean?

Pete in MI

New member
Seen on a gas pump at Wal-mart - 4 buttons - one reads "Pay Inside", another reads "Debit", the third reads "Credit" and the remaining button reads "Spanish". If I chose "Spanish" do I have to pay for the gas in Pesos?

I think it means if you want to read these options in Spanish push this button.

What is there to read in Spanish...everything is numbers.

Uno, Dos,Tres

but they are numerical like 1, 2, 3 which don't change nothing else on the screen changes either...maybe it is a sneaky button where if you press it you get slimed and it is filmed on Candid Camera or something.

Hey Pete, I would think you would push the button so that the Spanish people could hear the instructions in their language....like when you make a telephone call and press One for English and Two for Spanish?? When there's a One World Gov't....will they speak in every language that is on the Earth, or in one certain language chosen by the World's ungodly leaders and dictators!  May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

My next question is, since there are few Spanish people here...we have Americans speaking English (or if you are British we speak American), we have people from Yugoslavia, we have American Indian and now the larger group beyond speaking English who are INDIAn so why isn't there a button for "Broken English"? Just curious,

When I have to talk to someone speaking another language or broken Engish, I tell them I don't understand what they're saying and hang up! One Hispanic person called me twice and I absolutely could not understand anything she was saying and told her so! If we want to hear a language we can understand, then we need to ask for some who can speak English or hang up! In the past, everyone who came into America (USA) had to learn and Speak English good enough to know why and what US citizens were saying or go back to where they came from! What was good for the past immigrants is good enough for the present immigrants! Learn English, become an American Citizen, work and pay SS & taxes and then draw on them like the naturalized citizens do and not take from those who worked hard for their retirements and etc. Amen! Ma Betty

Good One DK! You know ... One of my biggest gripes is "If you want to speak in English ... Press 1". Why should we, the citizens of America, have to press 1??? Why shouldn't it be "If you wish to speak in Spanish ... Press 1"??? This political correctness thing has gone waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too far!
