..... it can compete with the E-Trac and if used right out do the E-Trac !
I managed to get out for a bit after work today, took a trip to one of my local spots to have some R&R.
Now, I've been over this spot (field) many times with 4 detectors, including the E-Trac, AT Pro, Gold Bug Pro and the F5.
I was digging all the deep hits high and low tones, after about 90 mins I got a strong hit in the high tones at around the 7" mark on the X-Terra 705 using the 5x10 18.75kHz coil, the reading was 46, ah, a ring I said to myself, I cut a large plug so that I could dig down the 7 or so inches, flipped the plug over and scanned it with the pin pointer and nothing, ah, still in the hole then I said to myself. I proceded to scan the hole and the pin pointer went nuts before I even got the tip an inch into the hole ! OK, thats not a ring then I said to myself, it's far too big for that due to the pin pointer going berserk ! I move some of the moist dirt around in the hole and then I see it ..... there staring back at me is the edge of a coin, silver, BIG silver, I pull it out of the hole and as I did I saw that it was a Walking Liberty Half Dollar, then I see the date, 1935, flip the coin and I see the mint mark ..... S !! Oh boy, a 1935S Walking Liberty Half Dollar, sweet
Also pulled another $6.85 in clad too !
