What Fisher unit would you buy if you were in the market for a new detector ..

Since it is a little slow here, except the Guys in TN ...Jim, Tabman, TN Indian and a few others finding all that Silver in the South...

What current on the market detector would you like to try/buy in the Fisher line ??

Not what do you want Fisher to make.. what do you want that they now have out that catches your eye..and why ??

We Tennesseans are a dedicated bunch, though I currently do not have a detector nor prospecting equipment.

All joking aside, if I had to choose only a Fisher, and not a Teknetics, I would go with either an F75 or one of the Gold Bugs, whichever is better on more fine gold. With that being said, the T2 is a bit more my style, in terms of the screen layout. However, I love the platform.

Ok...so I got a busted CZ 20 sitting right here next to me that I need to send in to Felix to have him fix it and convert it over to a 21...but If I HAD the money, I'd just spring for a new CZ21..
Dual freq, good in all water and beach situations, heavy duty...proven and chosen by the pro water hunters everywhere. Then I'd be set...the F70 and the 21, no metal would be safe anywhere I happened to be at the given moment in time. My very good buddy lets me borrow his backup 20...and I find gold and silver with it just fine...I can imagine myself hunting the emerald green waters in the South Pacific, pulling high K asian tourist gold like billy-be-danged all day long with a 21, instead of wasting my time in the frigid Lake Mich water pulling low K in heavy surf!.

I wish I still had my cz3d for certain situations, like the beach and a few of the cleaner and old spots, but I don't like their weight and I really trust my LTD so over all, probably just going to wait to see what comes out next. HH jim tn

Well, I am in the market for a new metal detector and have been debating between two, from different manufacturers for a long time. I think I have settled upon the F5. 1) It is in my price range 2) I love the adjustability and the user interface as well as the info it provides 3) Nice 5 year warranty 4) I have not seen/read any real negatives about it (some have complained about its response to EMI, but others, including posts from Mike Hillis, indicate that the F5 is actually one of the best machines set up to deal with EMI. 5) Good coil selection/options for future expansion.
6) I have read that it is not a depth monster but I am OK with that. The F5 seems to get 8-9 inch depth and to be honest, the idea of digging 10-12 inch holes in a park, or someones lawn (even with permission) is not that appealing. Target ID and separation are more important I think, and from what I have read the F5 does well in this category.

After reading alot, and I mean alot of posts and reviews, I actually think that the F5 might be quite underrated compared to other detectors in its price range, and even some a little more expensive.

New guy here hi everyone.I did in fact buy a new fisher f5 recently and so far im pretty happy with it seems to be sturdy with the cam locks works well so far I found a diamond setting out of a ring in a tot lot but I think its junk oh well someday:bouncy:

Thanks

F75 SE with the boost and cache process. Holding out till Spring To see if something new comes out.

Same here, thinking about trading my F75 standard in on the SE, but will wait till late spring and see if the new CZ is coming out.

Been using the F75's since Fisher released them ... just got a new black SE two months ago & it absolutely rocks & Fisher has actually listened to the buyers & it shows with build quality improvements in this one for sure. No shaft wobble, creaks, squeaks or pops ... it runs quite when tweaked out at full throttle too ... even in boost mode.

F75 LTD or Gold Bug Pro. Both are super machines. What ever you decide on, take your time and learn.

I would love to have another F-75SE to back up the one I have. Would keep a small coil on it and carry both detectors when I go. ( Now I use a 1225X for backup).

I would like the f5 and gold bug pro as coils are interechangeable
