What happened to all F19 users?

I'm here Frank! :)---My wife & I both own/use the F-19's.----We love 'em, great little machines.

Frank, been using a F19 for about 30 hours this summer. It has been too dry to dig in most of my grassy parks, but when I get the chance, the F19 produces. Last week I had my best week with the F19. I found three nice finds from three different places that have not been kind to me in the last couple of years. Found my oldest coin at park one, a 1880 Indian masked by a rusty nail and beaver tail. Fairgrounds two, I found a pristine 1914 Barber dime with two more pieces of trash in the same hole. Final find at third grassy park was a 14k childs ring that was not masked, but hit at 58-59 which is sometimes a nickel. It was very small and six inches deep. I will say as a park-fairground hunter, it requires some screen watching with just two tones, but when you get over any decent metal, it locks on tighter than any detector I have ever used. Not the deepest detector, but it almost always surprises me with something good buried with something bad.

Sold mine and bought a R****. You asked.

Think maybe you sold it prematurely?

No, I really liked the F19 except the quiet audio or lack of volume wattage. For me on some of my headphones, it just didn't have quite enough volume when maxed out. Worked great with the SunRay Pro Gold phones. For the types of hunting I do most of the time (ghost towns, railroad sidings, and dry saltwater beach sand) the Racer just does it better than the F19.

Yeah, the Golds work great on the F-19/GB Pro/G2 (they work great on my Tesoros & Minelabs also)! :)----When using the Pro Golds on the F-19's, we haven't had to max volume out on them--there was plenty adequate volume---and my hearing SURE isn't the best.;)

Del you must of had one of the good F19s, as I think Tom and I had the same problem. Even my Sunray Pro Golds did not help!

My hearing is good also but the Pro Golds were the only set of about 6 different pairs that I tried and used on the F19. I had no problem with my Gold Bug Pro but the F19 just doesn't have the same volume. Hunting here in AZ, the Golds are just too hot during the summer. I have a light weight set ( about 6 sets) of Koss headphones that are no longer made. They were made for playing the organ. They have about a 5' cord with a 1/4" plug. They are cool enough, need no adapter, and have very good sound but they are very quiet on the F19. Almost to the point of not being able to use them. With the Golds I had to use them with the limiter switch turned on or they would blast my ears off if the volume was turned to the max.

re Volume, my G2+ has some seriously high volume potential. I'm using ($40) Koss UR-29's (way better sound than dedicated MD phones and durable) and
volume must be managed down...YMMV and IMHO....cheers

Tom---That's the same way our Golds are on our F-19's (your last sentence).-----Sounds like Frank had a F-19 with an exceptionally weak volume.---Too late now I guess as he has already gotten rid of the detector but it might have paid to call FT about it and see if they could/would do anything about it.
