What happened to all the Safari owners , no more reports?

Frank , go to this web pg minelabowners ( am I aloud to do this ). A few guy's are using them over there. I don't think many people here have them yet. I have one coming this week. They tell me they are faster then they were, and they do well in iron . Say to use Edit 'coin and Jewelry' to keep conduct sounds... Then remove all discrim except -9 and -10. Come out of auto sensitivity to 18 (adjust to suit conditions.)

HI FRANK I JUST GOT MINE LAST NIGHT DID SOME AIR TESTING IT DOES HAVE A QUICKER RECOVERY SPEED DEPTH WAS VERY GOOD FOR A AIR TEST. IN AUTO SENS I GOT 10 INCHES ON A QUARTER 9 INCHES ON A SILVER DIME NOT BAD FOR A AIR TEST.I ALSO DID SOME IRON MASKING WITH A 3 INCH CUT NAIL AND SOME OLD COINS I USED A LARGE COPPER / QUARTER/ AND SILVER DIME FOR THIS TEST ALL SO WAS IN RELIC MODE AND TRASH DENSITY ON HIGH.WITH THE NAIL IN FRONT /SIDE AND BACK OF EACH COIN I GOT SOME INTERESTING RESULTS AT SLOW SWEEPS IN FRONT OF THE COIL THE AUDIO RESPONSE WAS NOT SMOOTH IT WAS BLANKING AND CHOPPY ID NUMBERS JUMP A LITTLE.BUT WHEN I SWEEP THE COIN AT A FASTER SWEEP IN FRONT OF COIL IT HAD SMOOTH AUDIO AND LOCK ON ID NUMBERS EVEN WITH THE SMALL SILVER DIME GOOD TIP TO KNOW. I DID NOT TRY THIS TEST IN LOW TRASH DESITY. IF IT DOESN/T RAIN TOMORROW I WILL HIT A OLD HOUSE SITE I WILL KEEP YOU POSTED:super:

Yes, what has happened? I was getting fired up on one but, kinda hanging back now.

For friends that have expressed an interest in trying detecting and I figured that the Safari would give them above average performance without the learning curve of an Explorer or E-Trac. Three people have borrowed it so far and in each case, have done pretty well with it. My secretary has it on the SC beaches over the Thanksgiving break . . . . when she gets back I will try to put together some photos and feedback from those that have used it.

If you are looking for a detector that performs with a minimal amount of adjustments, the Safari more than holds its own.

I have only done 4 hunts (about 10 hour) with my new Safari. I am not much of a technical guy. I have never had a Minelab detector before. So pretty much stumbling through this process with the Safari. It is an easy detector to use. Just turn it on, chose coin mode, adjusted threshold and kind of go after noise cancel. That is about what I am doing. I do mainly beach detecting. I can't get close to the water the sand is frozen solid. Just mainly doing the middle deeper sand that has not frozen yet. I have had 2 hunts that were 3 hours of swinging. The balance on the Safari is very good and it is not front heavy.
I have only dug 13 pennies, 2 nickels, 5 dimes. One dime was about 2" down and a one scoop dig. All the rest of the coins were 6" or more. One penny was about 10" and it was a 1939 wheat. I had to change from my light sand scoop to my heavy duty sand scoop that was in the locker for a few years. Only used the light scoop because just about all my coins were one scoop digs. Coins about 2 to 4 inches. Well with the Safari I am digging too deep so got the heavy scoop out.
Last month I was out on the beach and again noticed that the only coins I was detecting were the very shallow ones. This has happened to me a lot of times on the beach. I had a faint signal and dug it and it was a soda can about 6" so quit detecting and started to look for a detector that would pick up those deeper targets. I didn't think I would want a heavy detector but it boiled down to I can swing a light detector for hours and miss the deeper coins or I can swing a heavier detector less hours but dig those deeper coins. I got a Safari because I wanted to punch through the sand to get deeper coins. So far it has been doing a nice job at finding some of the deeper coins.
Thanks for reading ....Z
