What headphones do you use?

I bought a pair of the original Grey Ghost headphones for use with my 705. They're OK but some of my MDing friends are using and swear by the Sun Ray Pro Gold. They claim the limiting feature lets them hear deeper targets more easily. I surely have my doubts but I would like some other opinions. So, what headphones are you using with your 705 and why do you like them?

I have used the same pair of original Grey Ghosts for years. Have used them with every detector I have, including my 705 with no problems at all. I have a friend that uses the Sun Rays also. He likes them just fine with his E-trac.......Grey Ghosts work well for me.

I use the Sun Ray Pro Gold's and the volume does go way up on those and I think that does help to hear those deeeep whisper. The tones were a lil different the my old radio shack headphones but it did not take long for me to get use to the change.

I am using the Koss Minelab headphones and the work fine for me. I also think the Koss are a little on the fragile side because I broke mine one time but was able do a cobble repair on them and they have held up ok since the repair. But then I only like headphones to keep my ears warm while detecting here in Montana

I have both the Gray Ghost Originals, and a set of Gray Ghost NDT's. I use them because I like the quality of audio response, their ability to block out much of the "outside interference", the ear pads are replaceable, they have a sturdy cord with a 90 degree plug, and the fact that they fit my huge melon (cap size 7 5/8 ) better than any other brand I've used. I've not owned the Sun Ray Pro Gold, so I can't comment on how they'd fit. But Ralph has some quality gear. And I'd have no reason to doubt that the Pro Golds are top notch. If my GG's ever break down, I might try on a pair myself. HH Randy

I have killer bs. I like the sound on them really good.

Sun Ray Pro Golds & Auvio wireless 33-283 headphones. The Golds are well constructed, have crisp & clean sounding highs to them & the Auvios are geared more towards the lower bass range. If the Golds were wireless I'd never take them off. :)

I'm a wee bit on the strange side when it comes to headphones. I love a long cord and a tight fit to my ear so I really enjoy the Koss QZ-99's. I've had Grey Ghosts and they are awesome, but there's something about the fit and the cupping of the 99's that I love. (The price isn't too shabby either!)

DetectorPro Jolly Rogers- Arrrrrrrrrh!!!! They work great, not too expensive,I like the single volume knob & the 90degree plug in.

I just use $20 Radio Shack around the back of the head cheapies, that way I can wear a hat on cold days too. I never saw the need to spend a bunch on headphones and mine get quite beat up. I usually hunting with 2 partners, therefore I want to hear when they start yelling that they found the mother lode....LOL. I do admit that wireless would be nice, many times I get my wire caught and the phones get ripped from my head,
