what I see out my front door

Had the camera on telephoto but what this guy is is called a Pileated Woodpecker. It has a red top like our old cartoon friend Woody Woodpecker and can get to be about a foot tall. This guy is about 8-9 inches. And I also saw its mate....2 of these hard to see birds were in the neighbor's yard. You know when you hear them pecking...they sound like little jack hammers beating their beaks into the trees.
What is special about that? Woodpeckers have not been seen yet this year...meaning Spring is very very near for them to be here. Also saw some Cardinals the other day playing tag with Bluejays...and another pair birds not seen all winter I just saw were Doves! (Cardinals don't stick around for the winters either).
Warthog...remember you said it was going to get warm, thaw and we'd detect and I agreed with you...I'm still believing God will make it happen.
