What is next for Troy?

n/t

Are you referring to the Troy forum on this site, or the Troy forum on another? I couldn't find a Troy ofrum, here and thought the Tesoro forum would be the next-best place to post.

Thanks!

Sometimes asking Troy questions on a Tesoro Forum is like a bumblebee flying into a hornet's nest. ;)

Here's a link to the Troy Shadow Forum

That should be enough talk right there.

I'm hunting with the X5 now. Trying to sell my Tejon...did I mention I have a Tejon for sale cheap? I'm looking forward to new coming products from Troy. I guarantee they will be the best quality of any manufacturer out there and if the past is any indication of future products...nothing will be able to touch it in performance either.

I'm an avid Tesoro user, and have owned 4 of them. So I'm Tesoro lover, not a hater :)

I also have a X3 on the way, so we'll see if what they is true...

I posted the question here, because for some reason I seem to associate Troy with Tesoro, when in fact I should be assoc Troy with Fisher.

Daniel, I don't believe in hating anyone because of an opinion. Maybe you should've taken this guy's offer though:

Thanks for the link, Ralph. Perhaps, FM should create a "Troy Shadow" forum so this doesn't happen.

Case closed.

MaineDigger -- That was my ad when I was looking for the X5 I have now. I was looking to trade or sell the same Tejon I have now for the X5. I wound up just having to flat out buy an X5 and I'm still trying to sell the Tejon.

Your X3 is an alright unit. I haven't owned one of those and from what I've seen if I were you I would definatly get the 9" coil for it. The X3 isn't a very hot unit at all if it has the 7" coil. I don't think you'll be impressed with it with the 7".

Thanks for the info.
I did get the 9" coil as well. I am a big fan of the All-Metal mode on my Golden uMax, so I'm wondering how much I'll like hunting in silent search 100% of the time. If it's anything like the Cibola, I am guessing I could probably use the same method of hunting in all-metal with the VCO button. I think I read somewhere that Troy Galloway used to work for Tesoro, do you know if that's true?

MD

I think Troy helped engineer some of the units for Tesoro. His first leg of getting out for himself was the Shadow X2. I believe it was a Silver uMax with a black paint job some new coils and maybe some internal differences to make it a little hotter. I'm not sure so don't quote me on that.

I had a Cibola once and liked it pretty well. I think Cibola would be very comparable with the 9" on the X3.

..............I currently use a X5 too. I'm going to keep it, but with all the hype about the Tejon I'm reading everywhere, I was curious as to why you want to sell it?

Is the Tejon depth better or worse than the X5??

You can email me if you wish.

Posting responses here may get us both "beat up".............see ya mark

One thing I've regretted is selling the Golden uMax I had. Found out afterwards about the mods that can be done to it. Oh well, live & learn. ...Willy.

...built his own facilitys, so that they could be assembled and warrantied by himself to keep the cost down.
After all, with Tesoro assembling the X2, and Fisher the X3 & X5 it would have added quite a bit to the finished product.

Hi everyone, I was very interested in being a dealer for Troy until he told me that he makes his detectors for people that drive Mercedes Benz cars, I don't know anyone that drives a Mercedes so I figured that leaves me out. Oh well. John, CET.
