What is the ATX missing that it needs?

From all my testing with the stock DD coil vs the 8" mono. The 8" mono can hit with a stronger signal my 5.4 oz nugget at 20". Both coils got it. But the 8" mono sounded a broader tone and a stronger tone. It would not be missed in the field. The DD could be a possible miss if the coil is at 2" above the ground.

This leads me to conclude that Garrett should make a 12"x10" mono coil, same design as the stock DD, but a mono for the ATX. This would close the gap from the depth advantage of the Minelab GPX series has.
Yes; Garrett makes that big monster 20" mono coil. But it will miss the smaller bits of gold or treasue and is a heavy beast.

Hello Garrett - you hear me?
What do you guys think?

I feel you're right BearKat, a mono coil larger than the 8" and elliptical shape would be great! But maybe in-between the 8" and stock DD like a 8.5" X 12" mono? Thinking about weight and squeezing in-between bedrock and such this size coil worked great for the TDI from an aftermarket coil (Razorback), but if we get the 10"X12" that is still a step forward as well.

An Extra Extra Large pull behind coil attachment, about 4m X 4m. Anyone have the electrical specs on this unit?
Just in case you want to dream of making some custom bits, and not have to pay $8500+ for a lorenz.

Hi bearkat. Have you tested your infinium with 8 inch mono against the atx with 8 in mild ground or air? Thanks

Have not tested them side by side, but I do know the ATX w 8" mono will go deeper than the Infinium with the same.
Maybe I'll get that on video one day...
