What is the BH 3300 compared to, the land ranger or time ranger?

A buddy has a 3300 which he bought 3 or 4 years back to find a survey stake, now he no longer needs it. I looked at it but it doesn't look anything like what BH offers today. I am trying to see if it will be worth $100.00 and also see it will do what I need.Any help with this would be great Thanks for all the support you guys have supplied to us new ones.

The BH 3300 is not like the Time Ranger or The Land Ranger.

The Titan 3000 XD and Bounty Hunter RS 3300 are the same except the Titan's decal has larger, easier to read ID info.

The Titan 3000 XD with a 8.25 coil sells for $379.95
Bounty Hunter Discovery 3300 I think sold $300.00

Good informatin Tabdog. The 3300 is nothing like the Land Ranger or the Time Ranger. But $100 for somebody is a good deal.

I bought a 3300 when Radio Shack first put them on sale for $199, then bought another later. Darn good performance in the mild ground here. Both had depth very close to the Time Ranger upgrade prototype I tested a few years ago. If it's in good condition it's well worth $100. Well my buddy got to thinking about his detector and figured it was to old to be much good so he came down to $75.00. Needless to say I rushed to the ATM before he changed his mind. I haven't had a chance to hunt with it but I have played with it in the back yard for a few minutes. Then my wife came home and took it away from me, as stated in my other post she has caught the swing bug also. You people probably get tired of my posting, but you have been a tremendous help. When I try to talk about my new exiting hobby with others they just want to know how much money I have found.I tell them about 2 pounds of pull tabs, lots of penny's (zinc), several pounds of cans(which can be recyled), some nick nacks and a lot of fun, exercise with plenty of memorys with exitement on each dig. The greatest thing I have found is more quality time with my spouse. As stated earlier I am in a perfect setting for the hunts being the foreman in parks maintenance for 21 parks I have now seen a different side of the parks. Again I am greatful for all of the advise and information on this forum. A month ago a metal detector was only a thought now I have my second one and my step daughter wants one for her to go along with us.I get up in the morning to read the forum, before work then thru out the day a couple of times and for sure before bed. Wow what an addition this has become. I thought I had read all about the Bounty Hunter line until today and the advise of a Titan 3000 was mentioned. So I went to searching for that, is the Titan line a step up from the regular Bounty Hunter line like Dewalt is to Black and decker? I have the Land Star myself, now the RS 3300 for the wife, but if I am going to collect all these cans and pop tops then I think I will up grade mine to a time ranger or now maybe a Titan. Advise with this issue is welcomed greatly. Also does anyone know a doctor that can presribe something for this addition? Thanks again for all the help and advise, please bear with me I enjoy reading the finds and some day I will be posting some of my family finds.
 
The Titan 3000 Kellyco sells is identical to the Radio Shack 3300 except for the color and decals. The next step up in the same design is the Bounty Hunter made Fisher F4. It sells for $425 and comes with two coils, a standard coil like the one on the 3300 and a 4 inch coil, perhaps you should look at it before buying a Titan 3000.
