What is this Blisstool thing? How much? Who sells it? Reviews?

I see George has one.

And please, don't refer me to the silly videos. I don't have the bandwidth to view them. Doesn't anyone know how to write any more?

Hi John.
here are my 2 cents about the Blisstool.
I got one about 3 weeks ago but because of the rain I have gone only 2 weekends hunting with it, I own few detectors a Withe's 6000 PRO, Garrett CXIII, T2-SE, SOV. GT, and the E-trac and they are all good detectors and they ferforme very well however the Blisstool goes dipper than any of those mentioned by far.
on the 2 hunts that I have gone I took my E-trac with the WOT 15" coil and the Bliss with the 11" coil to my local public parks (that I have hunted with all those detectors mentioned and many other detectorist as well) and to my surprice I have found silver and gold on the 2 hunts.
I have hear comments about this detector to be not good for hunting on local parkas because of all the junk that is there but to me it has prove that it's as good to hunt on the open fields has it is on the parks.
Now on all my machines I hunt with little or not discrimination and I deside if X target will dig it or not, like on the Etrac I hunt all open with no patten on the screen.

So, on my f\weekend hunting on the first day Friday evening I was using the Etrac to locate targets, then I will pass the Bliss to see how will respond to that target (conductive or ferrus) so I will learn the Bliss Right?, then I will uncover the target and verifide my predictions.
On the next day Saturday I continue finding targets with the Etrac and identifind them with the Bliss, but after few hours of hunt I desided to change, find the target with the Bliss and corraborate with the Etrac and it was the time when I foud the power of the Bliss for dip targets (good targest, Non Ferrus) because some targets I was not able to see them with the Etrac al all. At some times I just give up doging and move to the next one because it was to dip.
then on Sunday I totali use the Bliss and Only on few ocations that I was not sure I rectifide the target with the Etrac and it was great. that weekend hunt? about 13 weathys, one silver dime, one silver pendant and a silver chaine. and lots of clud.

Last Sunday I wen to the first park that I hunt with the Etrac in wich I have found my first silver dime, First gold ring abd first and only (till today) V nickle.
I hunt for few hours because it was late and was getting dark and I found a nice 1958 quater, a 1912 weath and a litle gold pending, I was still re-testing the Etrac and any of those targets were able to be seen by the E-trac.

It is THE GREATEST machine that I have own and If you like to hunt with a litle noise it will not be dificult to learn ( the noise is because tu much junk)

thank's.
hope this help you!

John...

The Blisstool is a basic, no-nonsense machine that has been getting some good reviews by those who have used it.
It has no meter or visual aids at all.
It is a bit intimidating with all it's knobs (10) and switches (3) and it can be a bit noisy...but it goes deep.
It will only discriminate up through foil...but does knock out most of the small iron.
It hunts best in open fields but can be used in parks with patience and time.
It takes time to learn to use it proficiently.
I see it as a unit designed mainly for extra depth and it's "see through iron" ability.

There are several dealers in the states who handle them.
Even though they are built in Bulgaria there is a repair site located in Florida.
They run about $1000-1100.

Definitely not for everyone.

I've had one since Thanksgiving. Love it for relics. Deepest machine I've ever owned. Lots of knobs, but easy to set up. Once set up, you don't have to do much tweaking unless you move to another area with much differet mineraliztion. Then you have to ground balance, which is a snap. Too bad you can't watch the videos. Very helpful and informative. For relics, it's my go to machine. Very good at cutting out nails. Larger iron sounds good, but many times you can tell by the size of the signal it's big iron. If you are a relic hunter it's great. For all around coin hunting I stick with my CTX3030.

keep on diggin',

You can get one from barry hear is a link Barry Extreme Detecting I was in search for a deep detector for the farm, and i have gone thru a sove GT and muskiteer and the bliss is deeper, the deepest machine so far, I have ever owned, It charges from a wall socket in about anhour. 1100.00 $ If you wanted somthing close to it for less money I would say a Vista smart

Like everyone said, simple set up, easy to use, single-tone, no TID screen, no additional anything on them - but there are, or will be other coils for it. And it is deep.

Gunnar did a good video on settings for going shallow with it - so it can be set up for that, and I've been playing with those settings in the parks after I have gone through with the Sov GT and cleaned it up some; finding targets that aren't as deep, but for the most part, going deep is where the better targets are, and you will catch everything from the surface to whatever maximum depth you can reach. It discriminates iron - you hear it but know it's iron - and you won't be able to tell if it's silver, gold or copper, but you will know it's non-ferrous target. Machine weighs in at 3.9 pounds I think, might be a little off with what it weighs.

Overall, it's much like the "old days" in some ways in that it's a simple machine to use; tells you dig, or no-dig. Lots of knobs, but once you figure out a few things, it is easy to use. Be ready to dig deeply though.
