What is this? Is it of any value?

Hi all. I have not posted for a long time, but am looking for some info on a recent find. My friend and I did some detecting in Missouri last week, and I did not find a whole lot. Although, I guess when you enter Big Mike's old territory, you don't expect to find a whole lot. I did find this medal with an eagle on it. Does anyone have any info on this piece? Thanks for your help.

What you have there is a watch fob. It has a military signifigance to it. I found one siniliar to it about 4 years ago and sold it for ten bucks. Good luck on your future searches.

I found a button with the same pattern. I was told by several people it is WW1 vintage. HH
