What is your view on using an ultrasonic cleaning machine?

A friend has one. I have a small electrolsis unit.

its buried somewhere in the garage.

Otherwise I would use it on more of my finds.

It is totally none abrasive, has nothing that will remove any metal or natural patina from the surface. It just rubs off all the dirt and leaves the surface with a very nice clean appearance. Some people use crushed Walnut shells but they are considerably harder than Corn Cob and may take off some patina so I stay away from that.

bought a tumbler for Sherry because she always wanted one. Never used it yet in the past several years she has had it. I keep finding her cute little stones she can polish but alas not getting use and don't dare ask her if she isn;t going to use it can I have it. Why start an argument right?
