What kind of depth can i expect the sovren gt to get on a dime

depth has a lot to do with how well you know your Sovereign and how slow you go. In most case 6-7 inch is no problem, getting 8-10 inches you have to listen close and go real slow as the signals may be small and if going to fast will not respond fast enough to hear it. Now I have been 12+ several times with my 8 inch coinsearch coil, but had to really go slow and listen to just a slight tone change and try to work it up and see it is repeatable with the Sovereign wiggle. I also run in manual sensitivity turned up to around the 9-10 o'clock position and get a little falsing too.
If you are new to the Sovereign I think you will see that 6 inches is no problem and learn as you go, soon 8-10 will be no problem if you go slow enough so the coil can see the coin as you will know what a deep coin can sound like.
