What kind of military medal is this?

What kind of military medal is this? found at an 1800's site. size of a silver dollar. Has like three points on back.

Blind Squirrel was right on when ID'ing my find. With the small amount of research I performed I found the great seal was first used in 1903. Your find looks like it might have some clues on the back after you clean it a little.

I could not find anything that looked similar on google images. It must not be military medal. Still cool though. Throw it in the cool junk drawer.

Texas Ted--

I saw your reply to Chainsmokers post before this one.

Mine is a little different from yours. It's probably a variation in design. Here is a scan of mine and a WW1 soldier with the insignia on his cap. Best of luck and...

Happy Hunting!
