What reading does a Buffalo and an Indian head show?

I have found plenty of clad and a handfull of silver dimes and quarters but have yet to find a buffalo or an indian head...just wanting to know there readings if hit.

I've found Buffalo's in the conductive numbers from 12-15 and Indians between 31-37.

If you're hunting a private lawn it's definitely worth digging those Zinc penny signals.

What djh said. But I have found that the numbers will jump around; be different with each pass those are usually 4 inches and deeper. I always dig those numbers but I always check depth and if it is deep it will have a better chance of being a coin. Nickels are tough a lot of nickel signals are folded up beaver tails. I get excited when I get a nickel signal at 6 inches, a let down when it turns out to be a beaver tail at 3 inches.

OLD nickels can come in all over the place I have dug them at 01-12....04-10, 06-08, 07-11...etc.....you cannot count on them to be 12-12, or 12-13
the shield nickel I dug the other day was 10-10. You just never know. I dig anything even CLOSE to nickel range

indians, again they can be as low as 01-31, but normally around 09-34, 36 area. Rarely do I find em at 12-36, seems like ferrous number is always abit lower, 07, 08, 09, etc.....I have dug 215 indians now with my etrac, so I have a good feel for how they come in
