What # sensitivity you hunt at?:twodetecting:

Hi guys,

Just out of curiosity. When you guys are coin shooting or at the beach. Normally at what sensitivity you hunt at? and my other question was. Do you guys think if you have the sensitivity all the way up would you skip jewelry or other cool stuff? So higher or lower would you consider better? Thanks in advance!!!:beers:

I use the sensitivity to suite the search area, but at times reduces it way down to search for specific items newly lost.

The only way you would miss jewelry by having the sens all the way up would missing a good target with the machine falsing or chattering. Each area you hunt is different. You have to set your sens to each place. There is no perfect setting. That goes for your 250 too.

We don't have any beaches in New Mexico:devil:but, I go with 16-20 in the local parks and as high as I can when hunting old homesteads.

Thank you very much for all the replies guys!!! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!! and HAPPY :twodetecting::detecting::twodetecting:

Normally the X70 will let you know when you have the sensitivity set too high. Erratic target ID readings over "easy" targets, erratic audio responses (bleeps, bloops) when hunting in iron. Those are the common clues to too high of a setting. Simply run it as high as you can deal with! Where it runs stable at the highest settings that is where you will get your best depth.
