What settings can be used for "cherry picking" with coinstrike?

Hi All. I'm an amateur here using the Coinstrike this weekend up on an old farm, maybe dating to early 1900s. I mainly rent detectors from dealers to use, as I'm more of a "weekend detectorist" of sorts. I have a Coinstrike and I would like to just "cherry pick" high tones with it and leave it at that. I used to be more serious with detecting though some years ago, but I've been more serious with college now so don't spend the time like I used to. Are there some "basic" settings I could use for the discrimination and threshold settings? And for the ground-balancing too, as well as keeping auto-tracking on or off? Out with my buddy and his C$ last weekend he was on the "525" setup and did good, scoring a 1916 barber dime in tough mixed dirt among a few other coins, mostly clad with a few wheaties.

You'll have to get one of the more experienced C$ folk here to tell you more about that setup but I've heard it was great for deep and shallow cherry picking.

To start out for a good stable detector I'd go with:

Sens: 5
Threshold: -25
Disc: 99
Notch out foil and pulltabs
