What to put on "O" Ring for coil and headphones?

Does Vaseline work or is there something different I should use?

They use silicon grease on the o-rings and so should you. It won't attack the rubber at all, just a small, thin application makes sure the connector is sealed and waterproof.

Vaseline will melt the o ring.
Like the man said use silicon grease.

Silicone grease is the recommended grease. it's available at all dive or outdoor sports stores.

Silicone grease is also available at autoparts stores. It is used for Air Conditioning O rings and also often used in spark Plug boots and between the distributor and the control module on automobiles so equipped.

Silicone grease I got mine at a pool supply.
