Greetings fellow detectorists and brothers and sisters in the Lord.
I would like to know what you would do in this situation. I am pentecostal though raised methodist I have been a member of this church for 25 years. I am the Sunday school superintendent and business administrator for the church. I am also Licensed as an Exhorter. Our senior pastor and general superintendent passed away three years ago while visiting Israel. We have been without a senior pastor since. Our new general superintendent has not placed anyone in that position as of yet. He did ordained the previous pastors wife who served with him in ministry. She is now our associate pastor and handles church affairs to a point. However, she has left all of the "old" staff go, she said she wants all new people under her. I am the last, I was just informed last week that I need to train someone picked by her to replace me. This is hard for me because I have served faithfully for 24 years and now, because she wants "her" chosen people in all the positions I have a hard time getting up and going to church. My wife runs the children's church and my youngest son is 15 and runs the sound board and my daughter plays the piano . The only reason I force myself to go to church is because of them. What would your do in my situation.
Blessings to all,
Jay
