[size=medium]This is a perfectly true experience I had today with NO embellishing!!.... Metal detected the beach today (Southern California). Beautiful sunny, warm day with lot's of people on the beach. It was early afternoon and I was tired. I had started around 8am and only had found a bunch of clad and no rings that I had hoped for and I was ready to go home.
A very attractive young lady (in a bikini) I would say about 24-25 yrs old came up to me with a $100 note and said that "something had told her to give this to someone on the beach." I was kind of shocked not knowing what she was thinking and the reasons behind her giving me $100. I told her I couldn't accept it. She insisted and said she had "won a lot of money in Las Vegas and she felt she needed to give this to someone on the beach."
I was thinking, is this one of those tv reality shows to see what I would do? I asked her if she was religious (thinking she may have heard voices or something) and she said "oh no."
After trying to give it back to her and her insisting I keep it, I took it and she walked away off the beach and disappeared down an alley (the houses are built right up to the boardwalk and beach here).
Well, no tv reality show, no set up and I was $100 richer!!! If I were single, I would have definately asked her for a date although I was a few years older than her...she was very attractive!!!
I did a little more detecting hoping she would come back and talk but she did not.!!
A few minutes later, I gave away a large '1st time visit to Disneyland' badge I had found to a lady with a little girl that had come down from Canada and visited Disneyland for the first time!!!
Well, I was thinking on the drive home, this really is a wonderful hobby where we can give and take and get great pleasure from all the people we meet and experiences we all have from time to time.
