The piece of a half dollar was one of my first digs this morning and ultimately spent the better part of my 3 1/2 hour hunt searching high and low for the remaining piece. I just inched my way along double checking every chirp, tic and false signal. Unfortunately, all to no avail. The area was one I had been over at least a couple of times before and as a result targets were even fewer then norm. Not shown was a deep buckle, 2 clad dimes and a Memorial cent. The toasted disc I think was a nickel at one time, but it is in such bad shape there is no way to know. After expanding my searching radius out from the half piece about twenty yards, I detected a straight line back toward one end of the field and about half way got a bouncy high silver reading showing only 4" of depth. At about 3" or so I unearthed what appears to be a silver bracelet. I say appears as the clasp section is broken off and I cannot find any markings. It reads as silver on both the LTD and the Omega, looks like silver and has some weight, 19.7 grams, and rubbing with a polishing cloth the cloth turns black. I think it is silver, but won't know for sure until I get my tester back that I loaned out to a friend to test some of his stuff. Have a good weekend, all. HH jim tn
