What's It

anyone have a clue what this might be. Looks like a deer on the front. Leaning towards button, back is in bad shape so I can't
tell if there was a shank at one time. Its about the size of a nickel
 
You have a Pennsylvania Post Revolution button from the 28th Regiment. If you could read the back it was inscribed "R. MARTIN". It's a one piece button.
 
Very nice, soak that puppy in some mineral oil for a while so the crud falls away. Bambi is gonna look good. Peace Roy
