What's the amperage for the AC charger ?

Some how I managed to lose my charging cable along with the AC adapter. Fortunately I am a redundancy freak and have 2 of everything except the AC adapter. Would somebody be kind enough to tell me how many milliamps this thing puts out? Has anybody tried a cell phone charger or AC to USB plug ?

I believe it is a Li-Ion smart charger so it would be a bad idea to use a standard 5vdc charger without monitoring the charge closely.
A cell phone charger of correct voltage and polarity should be fine.

Isn't the actual Li-ion circuit controlling the charge in the detector hardware itself and not part of the external charger? I can see where the wall charger may have a charge circuit to prevent overcharging but I doubt the 12v adaptor is anything more than a generic car adaptor. Which would mean that circuit must be in the detector hardware side of things.
