What's the difference between the Bandido Umax and Bandido II Umax?

I read a lot of positive talk about the Bandido II Umax but not the Bandido Umax.

I bought a small lot of Tesoro detectors that included a closet queen Bandido Umax.

My initial impression is that it handles iron very well with nice audio and expected micromax depth.

What does the II have that makes it more revered?

Main reason was the first Bandido Micro-max used an internal threshold trim-pot instead of an external threshold adjustment found on the later Bandido. I have also heard some say (that tried both) that the II had better audio quality/depth compared to the first one.? I'm thinking these were the main reasons the II was much more popular.
