Go with the Chef phones they are good quality construction, very comfortable, great sound quality, cheaper and you still have the option to use the back bones.

No, the adpater is incorporated into the side of the phones. You simply snap the control piece off the back phones and slide it onto the adapter plate on the CP6's . . . . and just as easy to go back again.

Yep...backphones when its hot, Chefphones when its cold or you need the noise cancellation. Get the CP6E Chefphones
and you can use them with your other detectors as they also come with a cord.
