Whats your Hunting Preference....

Coin-Shooting, Relic-Hunting, Jewelry-Hunting, Gold

I'd like to know what most people are looking for...

I would say that I would prefer to find the lost jewelry at first then Coins and If I'm in an area of Historic Nature then Relic's would be nice as well...

But then again Anything Unearthed is better then Nothing...:detecting:

I hunt for coins first and if there is a possible jewely hit I will dig it. Relic after I can't get any more coin or jewely from a place.

I like digging up OLD coins. Surface change just pisses me off and I consider it in the way and wish somebody with a Bounty Hunter would just come and clean this crap up. I do like to dig nickels with my Explorer and always hope for gold when I do.

Question for you relic hunters - what do you do with all that stuff? Does it just sit around in buckets? I always wondered why 200 year old garbage is not still considered garbage.

Although coins mostly, just depends on the site. Relics that i keep were not garbage when they were dropped. watch fobs, keys, medallions, knives, buttons, tokens etc. Some are in buckets, some shown off, and don't usually, but some have been sold.

When I'm dirt fishing my favorite is coin shooting for older coins. Then relics. I always love finding jewelry and I dig tons of pull tabs hoping for a ring. When I hit the beaches I'm in jewelry mode all the way.

90% of the time that's all I look for. However there are days when I just don't have a good feeling so I will dig the shallow signals. I believe that a good part of anyone's success is ATTITUDE. There have been days that I just know I am going to dig up the silver and it happens, and other times I don't get that feeling and get skunked in the silver dept.
