When 925 is not silver

Dug about 50 coins this morning including this Tiffany heart that's stamped 925. I could see it was worn at the edges and looked like copper underneath, so I filed the edge and it's all copper. I believe the number issued that you could send it back to the company for tracking is 925. They never put the sterling mark on the front like this. What are the odds of finding this number ?
The Catholic pendant is not silver either, sure looks like it tho. Steve in so az

Another religious metal God has blessed you with! Congrats on getting out ! Sorry that the Tiffany Heart isn't silver, but they have a big name in collectibles....their older lamps and etc. are worth a lot of money! I guess it is just for advertisement and not a keepsake! God Bless! Betty

Sometimes those marks can be deceiving to the untrained eye. Neat finds tho.

its to make people think its silver to get more $ for it. Sure hope a Co. wouldnt do that
