Where are you!

Yes - metal detecting is allowed in public parks and at public beaches, but you have to be very careful to stay away from historic sites. That is sometimes difficult if you do not read, write or speak the language.

I am about half way between LA and SF on the Kings Highway #1. 10 minutes from the Pacific Ocean and an hour above Santa Barbara where I want to college 40 years ago.
 
A tiny, tiny, TINY town called Edgewood.. in British Columbia.. {Funny thing.. if you take the letters in E D G E W O O D and mix them all up.. they spell Goodweed!!! :D:]
