I see by the count of posts that the Xterra forum has just passed this forum in total count. Granted, its a new family of detectors and new technology. Everybody likes new. But I have also noticed that many Sov users post finds on other forums and not here. Why is that? In particular, Ive noticed very few postings from GT users. A year ago seems like many bought GT's and I thought it would only be a matter of time before users would be posting hunting experiences. Hasn't happened.

There is currently a post string working on the Explorer forum, about posting finds and what it means. The string is not about the Tech side and as is clearly evident, its not about one-up or bragging. Its about hunting with your favorite detector and sharing your efforts with other users. Those Explorer guys do seem dedicated.

Hours of research, hours of hunting. A string of disappointing dirt sites. Looking for old stuff, finding only clad, and junk. But a recently discovered site, producing ONLY pre-1920's coins, got me going again. Its still fun. Hey CLAD is fun, just not as satisfying to me as the old stuff.

I know there are Sov users out there with years of dirt experience and I hope some dedicated hunters using Sov/GT's too. I just wish there was more sharing of hunting experiences on this forum to keep the interest up. Then again, Ive learned a lot here. Maybe its just time to move on. I know the Excal guys will be back soon with all those great beach gold finds. I dig the beach , got lots of it, but in dirt or sand, looking for the old stuff is my thing. Don
