attached to the lower shaft on my Quattro but I won't gloat. Doc is expecting them in son - not sure if any of the first order is still available or if they are all sold.
I'll repeat my earlier post in saying that the Platyous is a great replacement coil for the stock one and has gotten a lot of use since Doc sent it out here . . . . . it's a 1st rate product!

they had made 170 so far, and I told them to start making more Platypus coils, because the demand has been so great I don't want to diappoint anyone, and hope to get everyone a coil out of this first shipment that wants one.
So keep your fingers crossed, the guys at COILTEK are working day and night.
Of course I have no idea in hell how I am supposed to pick up a load of coils from the airport, and get them to my office when I just had hernia surgery Friday - not supposed to lift anything over a couple of pounds.
Thanks for your patience gang!

I'm not a Minelab owner yet, but thinking seriously about a Sovereign GT. Does the first shipment of Platypus coils include the model that will work on it? Also if anyone has used the Quattro and the Sovereign, which might be the better for relic and beach hunting? Thanks.

Andy I have read everything I could find on the Platypus, but still questioning "Pin Pointing". I am very pleased with Pin Pointing of the standard coil on my Quattro. How did you find it compared? Thanks!

The Quattro is much better at pinpointing than the EXII and the Platyous does not change that in any way. I routinely dig 2" to 3" holes with the target right where I thought it would be. Several people I know that had used the EX XS or EX II and had relied on the X-1 probe to find targets have found that the pinpoint circuit on the Quattro no longers requires that addition.
