Where's the silver???

With the CZ I found 1 buff but about 25 or so wheaties in my backyard. With the Exp II, I found 1 my first time out. Tonight I found another 3: (2) '57's and a '41 that I didn't pick up the first time (I'm slowly getting the hang this thing but I have a long way to go). Now you would think that with all of those wheaties SOMEBODY had to drop something made of silver at some point Probably kids that liked diggin' holes and droppin' pennies in them
Finding the wheats was pretty cool though because they were in between some iron. Just tiny signals sittin' all by their lonesome. All of them were in the 6" range. I know these were masked with the other machine. Pretty interesting machine once you get used to hearing all the R2D2 stuff Practice, practice, practice

With that many wheats overall there has to be silver. It's probably hiding on edge or something. I remember one yard - we had gone over it a lot. Then I went under a hedge and a merc popped up.
Good luck, sounds like you are getting the hang of the machine, Steve in so az

Well, right now I'm taking the advice of many and using the start up settings until I can get used to the sounds or what a "good" target sounds like. I made a lot of progress the last two times I went out. Tonight, I picked out the targets well and pinpointed all 3 right on the button. So much for the buzz that this thing is tough to pinpoint with. I can see me not even bothering to use the pinpoint function in the near future. I could almost "see" the wheaties if you know what I mean... Pretty easy actually once you get used to the sounds. I'm just glad this is not my first machine!
There's quite a bit of discrimination in this start up setting so I'm losing a bit of depth. On top of that the sensitivity adjusts to the automatic ground balance and can drop pretty low. However, it's certainly a lot easier to deal with. Once I'm used to it, I can take the training wheels off and start getting into all that this machine has to offer. It really is pretty outstanding. Maybe then I can go over the yard again and find the elusive silver It HAS to be there.
Man, I can't wait to hit the beach after a hot summer's day. Depending on the tide, I can either go in the water with the CZ or hit the rest of the beach with the Exp II. At this point, I'm leaning toward the Exp being my primary weapon of choice.
By next Sunday, I hope to be ready to hit the church grounds. It's the site of an 1827 Quaker meeting house ( the house is still there) complete with a real old cemetary (which I'll stay away from )
I have a lot of work to do so I don't make a complete fool of myself at the forum hunt in June

Oh you wont do that I'm sure. We all will look good/bad to a degree. Keep on practicing - that's what works best.
I hear a lot of guys say they dont do schools & parks , just the big time hunts of CW things and such. Well it seems to me like that's akin to only shooting your gun during deer season, steve in so az

usually where there are wheaties, there'll be silver!
Dave

...I cherry picked your backyard with my Coinstrike!!
If it's there, you'll find it with the Exp.
Good hunting, Joe!
Doug

Time will tell, but I see great things in your future!

God Bless & HH!
