Which 70(5) to buy???

Have read/watched everything about the F 70,and X Terra 70(5) that I could find.
I know that the X 70(5) has prospecting mode etc. But hows depth/recovery speed/swing speed compare?
I'm not speedy with my swing so its not as important. Ive searched but could not find a comparison between them.
If there is a comparison please link me. Getting ready to purchase one so would like to know from experience.
I have mild soil w/deep targets,and lots of trashy sites.

I have the X70 and i like but i would go with the x705.
I have seen some air teat on the two and with the new updated 705 the test showed the 705 a little deeper.

The F 70 (like the F 75) excells for hunting trashy sites and from what I've heard, is deeper then x's. HH jim tn

I have had 2 Xterra 70's and now have the 705. I have not seen a difference in the depth between the two as of yet, but I only use the 10.5"DD coils. As far as the "Other"
70 out there, the Xterra spanks it on being less apt to EMI and is way more sensitive and easer to operate............MO

Uh, beg to differ. I had an F70 and own an X-terra 70 and 705. The X-terra 705 is a better machine, more stable and a little deeper due to it ability to do an offset tracking ground balance. The F70 requires you keep doing a ground grab (as its termed) and if you miss a change in mineralization you'll automatically lose depth.

I was already leaning towards the X 705,but wanted to hear from experienced users.
that's the reason I didn't post in their prospective forums . Alot of people in the F series forum talks up the 75 (LTD),
but not everyone can afford one. I read that the F 70 has a fast response between targets,but the ID doesn't lock on well.
and the X Terra 705 was quieter running and more stable..thanks for replies.
