 Has anyone tried Coiltec:coiltec:, SunRay and Excellerator 12.5 inch coils for the:minelab: Explorer style. I am leaning towards Excellerator. I have a 5x7 version and am thinking about a 12.5 just looking for inputs on your guys useage.

Sun Ray is my all time favorite. Resale value is high too. Good hunting, David@Dixie

I have the SunRay 12.5 and it is a great coil with crisp response and fantastic depth. You should also have the X-1 probe to save on digging time. John

I have the SunRay X-12 on my Explorer it is a good all-round coil. The wieght has a good balance. And it feel better than the stock stock coil for balance.

And many have several to fit the condition..Personally I am after deep silver so the stock coil does the job for me...Do remember changing coils may mean changing facets so do experiment..I do have to say Sunray makes excellent acc. coils , but the choice is yours...tried several acc. coils and just use what works for me....

Sunray all the way!!! I have an X-8 and love it! All the things I hear about the X 12 its gonna be my next purchase.

HH,
Stoops
