which coil does everyone prefer 9" or 11"

I got both, and use the 11" mostly, but both are lite and balanced, both seem to get good depth. I think the 0 might be a tad bit better in real trashy areas ut that being said, the 11 is no slouch.

Just got the 11"coil and took it to a park I continually search (22 years). 15 minutes into the hunt useing a coin program from Andys book i pull out a 1906 Barber quarter,its a new park to me again:)
 
That is great, was it amongst trash? and was it a faint signal? Congtrats!
 
I would like to try the 9" coil. The 11" works really well but others are saying the 9" works a little better in the trash. Though right now I am just happy to be swinging the Deus! I am holding off on buying a coil to see if anything new is coming down the pipes. Maybe a smaller than 9" coil :cheers:
 
Good sounding signal,found a nail first in same hole,thought that was target until I put the pinpointer back in tne hole.
 
I only have the 11 inch.Im loving it.I cant see buying a coil only 2 inches smaller.I would like a 5 or 6 inch coil.Do they make a small coil yet?
 
A smaller coil may work on other units but it may not do much for the Deus..The 11 inch is very nice and light and covers a bit more ground but in lots of iron I always use the 9 inch
 
Not saying it won't work but with the design the 9 maybe all you need with this machine..I don't hear the guys over the pond asking for a smaller coil

Not sure if they would have the space in a 5'' or 6'' coil to get all the battery,coil windings and the transmitter inside the coil housing,of course i could be wrong.
