Which coil would you hunt with first?

I have an old spot that I haven't hunted since the early 80s. Bout an acre in size, nice and flat middle of a small town nearby. It just came available for me to hunt again and years ago with a spanking new 1260 I dug Indians, seated, barber, and everything in between by the handful. (miss those days) hoping I missed a few.

Anyways, my plan is to hit it with the 9 in coil and the 11. Just want to see if one has any advantage over the other. Which would you use first?

I would use the 9".
Hit it from a couple of angles and then hit it again with the 11" and go slow and listen for those deep squeekers.

I use my 11" coil 90% of the time, but the smaller one in long grass, heavy stubble and rough ploughed ground.

 Happy hunting,

Jerry.

9 first it is then. Am hoping to do this as an experiment to see if there are any advantage of one coil over the other. Right now it's a flooded mess and needs mowed which I volunteered to do but need to let it dry a little.
Gonna work small sections at a time. Not gonna go all dankowski and dig everything as I don't have near the patience to do that but hopefully no one else has been in there as I was even more impatient back in the day. So I know I didn't get it all.
