Which detector to buy? X-Terra 70?

I can't decide which detector I want to buy next. I have a White's XLT but have been looking at an X-Terra 70. I will be doing 99% relic hunting. Can any relic hunters out there tell me how they like the X-Terra 70, advantages or disadvantages? And I am open to other suggestions for detectors as well and don't have to stay in the 70's price range either. Thanks for any advice.
 
Clay....A year ago I purchased a X-Terra-70. Shortly there after I purchased a 10.5" DD 7.5 kHz coil. I found this be a perfect match. I hunt in highly mineralized soil in southwest Virginia. The battle of Cloyd Mt was fought at seven miles from my home. Over the years the battle field (on private property) has been very heavily hunted. With the above combination I have recovered 79 bullets from this battlefield. I suspect the soil in TN is also mineralized. You sure cant go wrong with the X-70 and above described coil. HH TomB
 
hey clay,i live n tn. also.
i have the xterra seventy which i like around old house places with heavy iron.i also have an se that i like if im lookn for extra depth.havnt tried an etrac yet
 
I bought an X70 and really and truely never give it a chance at first. It took me a long while before I warmed up to it. I decided that I wanted to learn the machine and started using it exclusively. Once you give into the machine it will treat you right. I love this machine for the styles of hunting that I do.... which is mainly swamps, open fields and old house places. In trashy areas this machine shines. The prospect mode is also killer in the open fields and will find items DEEP!
I bought my X70 at the end of 2008. I was kinda disappointed that Minelab released a new machine not too long after I got this one and then the price on the X70's dropped some. Other than that I don't have any regrets about buying this machine. I have gotten to where it's the standard machine that I use.
Right now I have the 9" Concentric 7.5 kHz coil, 9" Concentric 3 kHz coil and the 6" DD 18.75 kHz coil. Soon I will be getting the 10.5" DD 7.5 kHz coil.
 
I have had mine now 2 years. I do not regret it one bit. Very user friendly, easy to hunt with. I also like how it just seems to fit my style, Beale.
 
The X-70 Great Relic Machine , just make sure you Get 10.5 DD coil. Hunt in all metal with two Tones. It will go deeper then XLT and MXT very close in depth but X-70 will more stable and you can find deeper relics mixed in with lots Iron and it super light weight.
 
Thanks to everyone who responded. I think I am going to do a little more research and then go ahead and take the plunge and buy one soon!
