Which digging tool to buy

I have seen so many hand digging tools available, just looking for one that works the best. Heard Gator Razor Edge is good with carbon alloy made teeth on all sides, and the Leche made of steel alloy. Any ideas? Just started detecting again. Thanks

the two best tools i have are the lesh knife , and i know its expensive but get one , and the willcox 18" trowel I like the wilcox becuse it has some real prying power that can get things out without looking to menicing, in the park , and i really like the pistol probe it goes deep and has the momentary on off switch, really saves on the grass and time .

Predator Tools Model 75 or 85. The 85 is an inch longer then the 75. It's the company that Lesche owns now.

Sorry, got that wrong. The 75 is an inch longer then the 85.

Lesche here. I never leave home without it.

I use & like the Wilcox 102. Lesche is a top quality digger but I didn't care for the blade, too straight for my liking. I prefer a digger with more curve to the blade to help scoop the dirt out of the hole.

ANY Predator Tools diggers are amazing well built tools. I use the Model 58 "Dixie" Ball Handle shovel. THe blade itself is the size of a garden hand trowel and digs perfect plugs (with a bit of practice). I can dig a plug in about 5 seconds with one and it saves my back from using the Lesch "Knife".
I just ordered the Model 31 Raptor and Model 57 "The Pearl" hand pick. I can hardley wait to get them landed!

It's according to what type hunting your planning on, a leshe is great but if I go relic hunting I use a predator model 31 or my old trusty Army entrenching shovel!

leshes digger and a coin probe only 2 tools ive used over 10 years now!the probe is highly overlooked in my opinion a probe is great for coins 5 inches or less in depth and save digging a plug and tearing the grass up .great for parks !!!although it does take some practice but its worth it especailly if your around lotts of snoopy people you dont have to break out the shovel just cut a single line in the grass and pull the coin out i can recover most items in under 30 seconds with no need to cut a plug have a good day

If you do vids, could you make one showing us your technique?

I received my new Predaor Tools Model 31 Raptor and Model 57 "The Pearl" hand pick. Got out today for a short hunt nd used the Raptor. My initial reaction when I opened the box and held the Raptor was it is going to be hard to dig with this beast. It isn't! It took about 5 seconds to figure out how to use it but it cuts quick and has a perfect angleed handle. Not used the "Pearl" pick but it is light and another high quality tool from George.
