Which is a better all purpose detector, a goldbug pro or a F75?

Hi,
Wanting to purchase a goldbug pro or a F75. Can any one provide feedback on which would be the best for general coin & relic detection?
 
Its kinda slow right now Cornelius but you'll get some responces before long. I've not used either one. I have heard very good things about both of them.
 
f75 for sure best detector i ever owned takes some learning but once learned you will never look back
 
Yea, I'm with Jeff on this one. I looked for a long time and used a buunncch of most brand's top detectors before I got my first F75. I quit looking then. It is just plain good at what it was made to do. The only reason that I got rid of my first F75 was to get another one, with boost mode. Awesome machine for sure!
 
I bought the original F75 when it first came out almost 5 years ago and still use it regularly. It's been in for service with the excellent 5-year warranty a few times and the Fisher service has been first class. Since then, I've also purchased a Safari and then bought a G2 (same machine as the gold bug pro) when it was first released. I almost sold the G2 because I felt that everything I have found with the G2 I would have also found with the F75. However, I decided to keep the G2 because the F75 can be a bit "noisy/chatty" at some sites depending on EMI. The G2 is so quiet and less fatiguing, meaning I don't have to concentrate as hard in noisy conditions.

If I had to choose between the two, I would keep the F75 because I feel it is deeper, has multiple tones, better battery life, an excellent backlight and volume control. Both the F75 and G2 are light and easy to swing. The Safari works great on mineralized wet sand beaches where the F75 struggles, but doesn't get used as much as the F75 and G2 because it's not well balanced and requires a slower sweep speed.

F75 is deeper. Gold bug is quieter and works iron better than any machine I have ever used.

I owned both the f75 and gold bug se 2.9 version.Everything mentioned is close to my personal experience regarding both machines.I sold the GB cause it was hard to run both machines off and on,I however did find the f75 to hit deeper and better tid's on many diff. objects,ferrous,nonferrous.The GB is a slower sweep machine as noted above.Also I dont think the processing is as fast as the F75.I think you would do much better with the F75 for coin shooting and relic hunting.This is just MHO ok I dont meen to offend any GB users,they are great machines and find alot of goodies.They are built well for finding small nuggets and I know guys who use them just for that,and do very well.Here in mi.I dont have that option.So your decision may be based on your locality.
What ever u decide stick with it and learn it well and u should never look back...jmho...hh rick in mi.
 
The Gb is the best Cellar-hole machine I have ever used, as its separation and signal clarity is the best in the buisness. It does give up some depth as opposed to the F75/LTD but makes up for it in its ability to handle heavy iron. Still, if I had to choose one machine, I wouldnt give my LTD up for the Gold bug. Best answer is to get them both. They compliment each other very very well.
 
you would have an almost unbeatable setup :).... BUUUUUUUUUUT!!!!! the question was, what is the best allrounder? i would have to say the lower priced little brother in law, the gold bug IS! ...now b4 f75 only users start loading their guns and pointing them at me,lol, let me quantify my opinion :)

i been using my mates f75 and it is brilliant in nearly(note i said nearly) all my hunting needs(coin,jewellery and occassional nugget shooting)..the f75 is excellent for coinshooting,ok for jewellery and bettered by many for prospecting,and as i dont relic hunt,i know it is a monster for that....

now lets look at the new goldbug and g2:)
excellent for coinhunting, excellent on jewellery and fine gold(im sorry all you die hard 75 users,but you cant argue with physics, 19khz v 14khz ALWAYS! gonna own in that domain)...the gold bug is just as easily affected by emi(but not in the same ballpark as the supercharged f75),but can be run at high sens in almost all areas, the gold bug is better in iron,and is just plain fun to operate,being so simple to setup and go.

so summing up,the goldbug(like the f75) wins a few of the battles, but not the war, however,it is definitely the better choice as an "all rounder" in the true sense of the term..both awsome,and if you got both, your covered for just about any site/situation..... just my opinion from owning and /or using both, others may disagree :)

oh! forgot to mention..i like to beach hunt..both dry and wet sand.. the f75 isnt even in the same stratosphere for this application :)
