while digging among the clad coins.....

went wading with the I.D.Edge today for about two hours and while wading i got a signal with a 34/35 i.d. and as i was digging up alot of clad qtrs in the area i just thought it was another clad qtr so i took a scoop of clay out of the hole ,signal still in the hole,dig out a little more clay,still in the hole(holes now at bout 8 ins deep) scoop one more time aaaaa got it in the scoop so i start checking the clay and muck i see i dark and black coin ( what silver looks likes when its in the water around here after you dig it ) so i thing i got a nice washinton qtr??? i look at the coin and see an eagle on the back with the words qtr dollar at the bottom:thumbup: what do i have here??? a worn but readable 1899 barber qtr the oldest coin i have found IN the water sorry i dont have a pic as i dropped my cam. and it went into a few diff, peices(oops) still a good coin in my book thanks for looking o and the hole was a little over 14 in deep the edge was set up in custom program with dis. at -3 and sen . at +6 and i though it was JUST another clad qtr:please::fisher:
total for today was a little over 6 dollars in coins(one wheat 1938, one 1941 nickle) 4 rings ,one silver the rest junkers,one junk cross,
and a button along with the reg, pulltabs and sinkers thanks for looking
