white 10.5 spider coil

I've just bought an used spider 10,5 coil for my Fisher 1270.
It is like new one but it is white and has a grey wire.
Does anybody know if it is an old model e how it performs?

Early spider coils were White for a year or so and then were changed to black..Coil is approx.12-13 years old but never saw any difference in the two except the color..The made a lot of white color covers and were used for years after the new black coil came. I personally like a black coil with a white cover and you may get the same effect if you put a black cover on it..
I like the two color tone effect...I really don't know but was probably made for the 1266 and call Fisher if they are interchangeable with the 1270 which is a relative new machine to replace the 1266...

I used a large white one for awhile. Yes, they are older, but as long as it's been well cared for it should be all good. I'll never forget my first cannonball was found using a big white coil & I still have that picture hanging up. I'm really glad FRL went to all black. I just like the look better as white coils can get very dirty looking. But don't worry color has nothing to do with performance.....Good luck, Bill
