white surf pi pro coil weight???

wyndham

New member
I may get a white's surf pi pro and am told it has a weighted coil. Is this a back breaker if you use it for beach and shallow water. Are there any lightweight 3rd part coils for this beeper??? Thanks for any help Wyndham

The weighted coil is not that heavy. It is the one you want. The lightweight coil floats when used in water and you have to keep pushing on it to keep it down. If the weighted coil feels too heavy (it won't) you can always hip mount the control box to make it lighter. ~John
