Some of you know that I bought a new Beach Hunter 300 to take on my vacation. This detector has no more than 6 hours of use on it. Not a scratch on it. I can tell you that it's the deepest machine I've ever used. Accurate too. On my trip I found lots of clad and 3 rings. One ring was silver. But now I'm home in Missouri and I don't need the machine any longer. It took me 7 years to get back to the beach. I assume it will be another 7 before I get there again. I have all the paperwork including the warranty card. I didn't feel the need to send it in knowing I would have it up for sale in a week. So if your looking for a deep water or land machine here's you chance to get one cheap. You can pay with Paypal plus 3% to cover fees. Also I will send the machine Priority mail with insurance for $25.00
Price of the machine is firm at $699.00

I have been in and out of detecting for years and last yr. purchased a DFX 300. Sweet machine. Now I want to test my skills in the water so I purchased a used Beach Hunter 300. I have seen after market shafts (straight shaft) for the BH 300 and wonder what the advantage(s) are of same. Any idea? Also, the 12" coil supposedly (until I saw a 10" DD on a BH 300) is not interchangeable on the 300. How did the person do it?

OK, enough questions from Michaeldoc.

Thank you for your time.

I believe he installed the DD coil himself. But it might be worth asking Whites if they will install a DD coil for you. This way the warranty would not be void. The 12 inch coil worked perfect for me. Beeped deeper than I cared to scoop sometimes. In all metal 10 inches would not be unreachable. Super tuned even a little deeper. You may not get a light but you'll get a rise in the threshold.
