I posted this in some other forums I participate in and wanted to make sure everyone here saw this also..
I had a White's 10" DD coil start acting very erratic after a small group hunt 3 weeks ago. I had bought this coil used last year and have used it pretty heavily since I got it. When I turned on the detector, it would go into an overload reading. I found out this was a known and somewhat chronic problem with this particular coil.
I sent just the bare coil to the White's Sweet Home, OR. headquarters with a small printout of what it was doing. It was mailed Thursday July 24th and arrived there on July 28th.
I expected they would call or email me with the diagnosis and let me know how much it would cost. Today, a brand new replacement coil was waiting on the doorstep when I got home.
Let's do the timeline:
July 24 Mailed to Whites
July 28 Received by Whites
July 31 New coil received by me
This means they did a same day turnaround and then sent a new coil coast to coast in only 3 days (Oregon to Maryland).
This is my only experience with having to send something back in to White's and I couldn't be happier. I just thought I'd post a very positive experience so others could see the level of superior customer service they offered. I've heard very positive stories about a few of the other companies out there, so I'm glad this one worked out great also.
Way to go Whites!

With all things being somewhat equal, cars, detecting gear, whatever, lots of times the buying decision is based off how well the reputation for SERVICE is..

person, too. She goes beyond what is expected and is a total asset
