whites MXT with 12 in super spider coil

My local dealer has few of these coils and he is making me sweet deal on one and I wanted to get some advise on it. I have a MXT Pro and I wanted a coils to help cover ground in the dry sand and at farm fields. Thanks Koz

I've not used one but I'm sure it will be a lot heavier. Taking that in consideration, I wouldn't want to swing that thing. JMHO.

Depends some on your soil as well. If you live/hunt where there is high mineralization (I do), it may actually reduce your performance to some extent as it will have too much "soil under the coil".Large concentrics can be somewhat blinded by high mineralization. Like running high gain, bigger isn't always better. In many cases a DD coil will outperform a larger Concentric. I am a big fan of the Whites 10" D2 coil for my big dog, coil on my MXT PRO along with my 4x6 shooter for trashy areas.

our soil is pretty mild. I have 9,5,10 DD.and I am thinking that the 12 spider 300 would be killer in farmland at the dry sand.

With Targets spread out The super 12 coil worked fine for me, for such a Large coil it Pinpointed very good (Concentric) coils do great for this and has better ID and they hate steel Bottle Caps

The cons, It make my MXT nose Heavy and when Targets are close to each other The MXT Pro gets overwhelmed and it's time for a smaller Coil.
