Whites Surfmaster 2

I have used 2 of them in the past...GREAT FRESH WATER DETECTORS!! GREAT DRY SAND!! You can hunt in the rain no issues..wet salt sand it did ok...MR BILL Does great MODS to these detectors! search him on here. I would love to pick up another one some day great back up for my fresh water hunting..or for a friend who wants to get into detecting to try. The Whites PI- PI/PRO detectors are some of the best salt water detectors very very deep. No Disc....your SURF II has full DISC...You can hunt very trash filled lakes but still pop the old silver coins.
 
IN SALT IT WILL FALSE ALOT...AND NOT RUN STABLE...ITS A SINGLE FREQ. VLF..NO GROUND BALANCE..SO SALT WILL CAUSE ISSUES...NOT SURE ON DEPTH THINK IT WAS RATED FOR 100FT.
