Whites XL Pro discrimination question...................

After the metal detector is ground balanced in the GEB/Norm mode, and you change to the GEB/DISC mode, can you change the Signal Balance without having to again ground balance the metal detector?

I have always been of the opinion that every time that you change the Signal Balance, you must also again ground balance the metal detector because the sensitivity or Signal Balance controls the level of sensitivity of the GEB/DISC mode...is this correct? Kelley (Texas) :)

simply because it is suggested doesn't mean that it is a 'must-do', and it also doesn't mean that performance will be impaired. A lot depends upon the particular ground environment you're hunting in, and whether or not you've locked the GB or are using the AutoTrac
